Road Tested Parts (“RTP”) has prepared this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) to provide visitors to our Site with important information about personal information that we collect, use, transfer, and/or process in the course of operating this Site.  This Privacy Policy applies only to the information collected from visitors to the Site, and does not apply to any other website operated by RTP, or our affiliates.

This Privacy Policy includes descriptions of the processes by which you may contact us in order to exercise your legal rights, in accordance with applicable law, to: (1) access, correct, restrict, or delete your personal data; (2) object to the processing of certain aspects of your personal data; and (3) ask any questions you may have about our privacy practices.

If you do not agree with this policy, or revisions to this policy, then you should not use the Site.

What data we collect
Personally Identifiable Information

RTP may collect and store personally identifiable information about you if you voluntarily submit such information to RTP through the forms on this Site.  As of the Effective Date, the forms on the Site allow users to provide contact information for purposes of requesting a contact back from RTP (general purpose or to join resale network).  A job application page also provides access to a third-party hosted website where applicants may provide information to apply for a position with RTP (see “Job Application” below for more detail).  Personally identifiable information that you may elect to provide through such forms on the Site include your name, business/company name, email address, phone number, physical address and other information that specifically identifies you.  We also collect certain personal information through Traffic Data and Website Analytics (each as detailed below).

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

RTP may also automatically collect (through cookies, described below, and other methods) and store aggregate or anonymous information about user contact with and use of the Site. Examples of this type of information include demographic information, the type of internet browser you are using, the type of computer operating system application software and peripherals you are using, the domain name of the website from which you linked to our Site and your browsing habits on and usage of the Site. Non-Personally identifiable information may also include personally identifiable information that has been aggregated so that no one individual is specifically identifiable (e.g., how many users in a particular metropolitan area have accessed the Site).

Cookies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect personally and non-personally identifiable information from you in order to help us operate, and improve, the Site by enabling us to better understand how you use our Site. A cookie is a small data file that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. We may also use web bugs, clear gifs and similar technologies that collect data similar to that collected by a cookie. A cookie file can contain various types of information, including a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you have visited.

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies; however, you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent or you can flush your browser of cookies from time to time.  You are also presented with a choice as to whether to accept cookies from this Site when you visit the Site.  You will be able to continue accessing and using the Site, regardless of whether you accept, or reject, cookies on the Site.

Google Maps

This Site uses Google Maps to show the locations of RTP and independent  resellers in our network. This is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.

When you access the integrated Google Maps component of the Site, Google stores a cookie on your device via your web browser. Your user settings and data are processed in order to display the relevant location. It cannot be ruled out that Google will use servers in the USA.

By creating the connection to Google in this way, Google can identify the website from which your request is sent and the IP address to which the locations map must be displayed.

As referenced above, you can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, you should be aware that by doing so you may not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this particular part of the Site.

How We Use This Data
Personally Identifiable Information

RTP will only use your personally identifiable information as described in this policy.

When you submit an inquiry to us through the forms on our website, RTP may use the personally identifiable information that you provide to us to respond to the subject matter of your stated request or comment to us.

We do not sell or share your personally identifiable information with third parties. However, we may share your personally identifiable information with technical consultants and other third parties who make our Site available, enhance its functionality, or provide associated services (but only for the purpose of them providing such services to RTP and to enhance your experience with the Site).

We reserve the right to transfer any information to our assignees and successors.

We also reserve the right to access and/or disclose any information as required by courts or administrative agencies and to the extent necessary to permit us to investigate suspected fraud, harassment or other violations of any law, rule or regulation, the Site rules or policies, or the rights of third parties or to investigate any suspected conduct which RTP deems improper.

Analytics

Google Analytics – We use functions of Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).  Google Analytics uses “cookies” to help analyze how users use and view the Site.  Any information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site (including particulars about your browser and configuration as reported by your browser) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers that may be inside, or outside, the United States.  Please note any information collected by Google Analytics cookies do not include personally identified information (such as names, e-mail addresses, and payment information).  Google may use the information collected for the purpose of enabling us to evaluate your use of the Sites, certain aspects of your user experience thereon, compiling reports on activity for us and providing other services relating to the Site and internet usage.  Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.  More information on the Google Analytics cookies are available from Google at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en#zippy=%2Cgoogle-analytics-cookies-and-identifiers.

Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop Google Analytics from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website.  Alternatively, Google also offers a deactivation browser add-on that blocks transmission of information about website visits to Google Analytics. Additional information on Google’s browser add-on may be found at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Google Tag Manager – We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) for purposes of improving the customer experience on our Site.

GTM is a “tag” management system to manage JavaScript and HTML tags (snippets of code) used for tracking and analytics on websites to help us measure traffic and visitor behavior, and to test and optimize the Site by pushing the data to our Google Analytics account where all the data is organized and ready for us to assess and review for potential site improvements.

Although such tags may also be used to understand the effect of online advertising and social channels; and to set up remarketing and orientation towards target groups for advertising purposes, we do not use GTM or Google Analytics for such purposes.
