Carnesville, GA and West Liberty, KY – Road Tested Parts (“RTP” or the “Company”), a leading value-added distributor of recycled OEM automotive parts to collision and mechanical repair shops, is proud to announce that it has partnered with Grassy Auto Parts (“Grassy”), further expanding its footprint into the Midwestern and Southern United States.
RTP was established in 2021 by Incline Equity Partners to acquire automotive recycling businesses and create an industry-leading company. With the addition of Grassy, the RTP network has expanded to include 16 facilities. Grassy is headquartered in West Liberty, KY and was founded in 1960 by John Keller, a former automotive insurance adjuster who saw an opportunity to create his own recycling business. Grassy is a regional leader in the recycled parts distribution industry serving customers throughout the Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio markets. Currently led by John’s granddaughter Kristin, Grassy operates three facilities: Grassy Auto Parts in West Liberty, KY, Blue Grass Auto Parts in Lexington, KY, and Auto Parts Outlet in South Charleston, WV. Going forward, Kristin will continue to lead the business as its General Manager with the help of her father, Tim.
“Kristin and Tim have been very successful in growing a business that has been in their family for decades, and we are excited to welcome Kristin, Tim, and their employees to RTP” said Bill Westerman, CEO of RTP. “Grassy is a key building block to bolstering RTP’s presence in the Midwest by improving product availability across the network and fostering new customer relationships.”
“Grassy has always focused on providing the best experience to both our customers and employees, and we are thrilled to have found a partner in RTP that shares the same values,” said Kristin Allen. “We are excited to invest in the next phase of growth and are proud to do so by joining the RTP team.”
